“ny mania” / “new mania”
We all grow older and let ourself evole. Always taking a part of ourself with us. So how will that look when we need to grow up for real?
From the romantical victorian times to the traditional 80`s goth, “ny mania” explore the real life of an evolved goth.
The project focused on taking apart old and forgotten weddingdresses and transform them into a whole new garment. With the restriction around the materials I needed to be creative with the planning and execution of the garment. Taking in the beltmania from the trad goth and the ruffels from victoriean dresses, the ensamble evolded into a jacket with one exaggerated hip and a tutu around the knees.
Outfit made of thrifted weddingdresses and 500 eyelets.
